Five years ago I pointed out nearly all NFT's were going to break when the startup who minted them goes bust, causing people to get *extremely* mad at me until everyone concluded that I was correct. -
If you comment "marry me" on one of my videos or a post online, I will block you.@csilverman @vkc what does that even mean? And do I want to know?

If you comment "marry me" on one of my videos or a post online, I will block you.@gedvondur @vkc A very, very common one is complimenting on the skills/intelligence/knowledge of the presenter, and also add a compliment to their physical appearance. No one does that with men (at least almost never).

If you comment "marry me" on one of my videos or a post online, I will block you.@vkc I watch a few female/run tech youtube channels, and while most comments are what you would expect from comments to videos by any male youtuber, you can be sure there are some of those.
It's funny, I'm pretty sure many of the people posting those comments don't even realise what they're doing. If called out on it, I'm pretty sure they'd say that they were just giving compliments.
As much as it pains me to admit it, if youtube had existed when I was 15, it's not out of the question that I would have done something similar, in the belief that I was somehow being a good guy.
Luckily, youtube did not exist then, and by the time it did, I had grown up. Sadly, plenty of people never grow up.
All I do these days is clicking on the report for harassment button every time I see it.

Some dudes would rather clean up documentation for AI agents than make documentation easier to read for everyone, such as people@skinnylatte they're seems to be this widespread belief in the us that there is a single correct way to say/do things.
As it turns out, things that are offensive in one place are not in others.
A lot of things that are perfectly normal in the us will mark you as really rude in Sweden. Likewise, there are things I do in Singapore that's perfectly normal that would get me ostracised in the us

There were lots of folks in MS when I was there who were willing to tell management that this was a mistake.@david_chisnall based on what I saw in some interviews with Nadella, it sure looked like he was suffering from ai psychosis. I suspect it'd be very difficult to get him to understand what he's responsible for.
