@elasticsoul @EricLawton Warning of “consequences to the defence pact” sounds exactly like gangster language. The US now only operates with threats and ‘preemptive’ strikes. Canada should think carefully about buying any equipment from a seller that can and will disable it at will.

The US is threatening #Canada (again) if we don't buy their F-35s. -
Europe often sees Ukraine only as a victim.@littlealex Europe needs Ukraine at least as much as Ukraine needs Europe. The US is a threat to both.

So it begins.@EVDHmn Indeed. If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it's probably some speculator rigging the market.

So it begins.@EVDHmn I was an institutional fund manager for many years, working with EM and investment grade securities, commodities, stocks and bonds. I was successful with everything except currencies, which I came to realise don't work on fundamentals or technicals, or even sentiment, but rather 'flow', which is controlled. This is true in the short and medium terms, but over the long term fundamentals must apply and, you're right, the dollar will fall. And that is its long term destiny.

So it begins.@nemeciii @bmacDonald94 Indeed, pension funds have to think long term, and the US is not a growth story.
