Despite the supposed ‘ceasefire,’ Gaza is still being starved, bombed, and invaded by Israel in real time.Despite the supposed ‘ceasefire,’ Gaza is still being starved, bombed, and invaded by Israel in real time. The genocide in Palestine has not stopped and Canada is complicit. The bombs and shells raining down on Gazans are being made with Canadian technology and assembled with hundreds of Canadian parts.
On Monday, February 16th AT 5pm PT / 8pm ET, join me, Dr. Yipeng Ge and Shatha Mahmoud for a critical conversation on Canada’s complicity in Israel’s genocide, the rise of anti-Palestinian racism, and what we can do collectively to end the occupation and fight for liberation and return.

Charles Taylor is one of Canada’s most important thinkers and an icon in our party.Charles Taylor is one of Canada’s most important thinkers and an icon in our party.
He kept the NDP flame alive in Quebec for decades, and his values guide our campaign: building a country worthy of the everyday working-class heroes who keep it going.
His support means the world to me.

Yes, there are democratic debates among New Democrats - the clue is in the name!Yes, there are democratic debates among New Democrats - the clue is in the name!
And that’s way better than groupthink and weasel words: Canadians want the NDP to stand for something, to be clear.
With all our competing regions and provincial interests, it’s the job of the federal NDP to offer an inspiring national vision that unites NDPers on our bedrock shared values: tax the rich, confront climate chaos, create good jobs and strong healthcare for the 99%.
That’s how we build the biggest tent and win.

There are fountains of wealth being generated in this country.Income inequality is at an all-time high in Canada.
Meanwhile, CEO pay keeps climbing. The top 1% richest families control almost a quarter of the country’s wealth. And the six biggest banks raked in $70 billion in profits last year alone.
It’s time to tilt the scales back towards the 99%.

There are fountains of wealth being generated in this country. There are fountains of wealth being generated in this country. But that wealth isn't trickling down to working people. It’s all stuck at the top.
Our 'Tax Plan for the 99%' takes on the corporate hoarding class – to redistribute wealth and raise the floor for all of us.

Premier Kinew and Minister Asagwara aren’t leaving seniors at the mercy of the market, they’re stepping in to save these precious elder care beds.Premier Kinew and Minister Asagwara aren’t leaving seniors at the mercy of the market, they’re stepping in to save these precious elder care beds. This is exactly what we mean when we say that the role of the government is to goddamn govern.
We cannot leave something as important as senior care in the hands of private corporations that know the price of everything and the value of nothing. It’s time to bring long-term care into the public and non-profit system where it belongs.

Liberal icons Lloyd Axworthy and Alan Rock get behind Jenny Kwan's essential No More Loopholes Act.Liberal icons Lloyd Axworthy and Alan Rock get behind Jenny Kwan's essential No More Loopholes Act. We need a real 2-way arms embargo on Israel, and this opens the door for Liberal MPs to pressure the PM to get it done.
Gratitude to Jenny for her leadership, and to these former Liberal heavyweights for going on the record in support.

Hello Mastodon!Hello Mastodon!
I’m Avi Lewis and I’m running to be the next leader of the federal NDP. Very excited to be part of the Fediverse!
I’m running for NDP leader because it’s time for the NDP to return to its roots—fighting a system rigged for the rich that leaves the rest of us behind.
We can build a Canada based on care instead of greed, but only if we do it together. There are only 4 days left to join the NDP so you can vote in the leadership race, so get your membership before Jan 28th and let’s fight for a government that serves the many, not the money.
