"I just found out that it's been hallucinating numbers this entire time." -
Well, everyone, you can now submit a comment to let the FCC know what you think about SpaceX asking for 1 million satellites for "AI datacenters" whatever the fuck that means.@sundogplanets now he wants to corner the market on the sun's rays

Blacksky has already built their own ATProto stack that's fully independent from Bluesky.@stefan Everyone's version of toxic and unwelcoming seems to be different, so they join tribes where they can be toxic and unwelcoming to anyone they view as toxic and unwelcoming. One would wish everyone could just get along, but history seems to point to that being a chapter yet to be written.

In case you are wondering who celebrated (and influenced) the Brexit and put the UK into missery.@obrhoff there's big money in subjugating all those beneath them

Trump calls wind turbines "losers".@randahl we're all sharing the same planet, anyone looking to destroy it for a healthy profit should be answering to everyone, not just their own citizens. Nobody should have enough money to be able to launch shit into space. If so, they better have a reason that benefits us all, or they need to go.

As gold drops back from a peak of nearly $5,600 to back under $5,000 the Q. is:@ChrisMayLA6 idk, the way our dictator is talking, and by what the big players at Davos were eluding to, manufacturing "coins" is their answer to fiat being tied to a precious metal, commodifying the destruction of the earth. Every token, a unit of measure representing the amount of the Earth's future destroyed to produce it.

The legal basis for so-called Alberta to exist on the land where it sits are Treaties 4, 6, 7, 8, and 10.@Pinchy63 @cass_m @McRocker @CedarTea Most Americans thought MAGA was a joke, but they didn't keep their eyes on all the tiny levers of government they were slowly positioning in their favor (like safe tumblers) to harness the full power of the executive. All I can say is, every election matters, make sure they're not stacking the deck, and their bluster will eventually burn out. Let them pick the locks over time, and you'll be in the same boat.

What the, and I cannot overstate this, fuck?@bloor must not have any cats

If you're talking to EU politicians about tech sovereignty, there are a couple of things I hope you'll ask them to consider:@aerique @david_chisnall IKR, been talking to the walls since 2004, just never "vibed" right with people. It's not exactly something one would WANT to ever "trend" in the 1st place, but here we are, atop the precipice.

If you're talking to EU politicians about tech sovereignty, there are a couple of things I hope you'll ask them to consider:@david_chisnall multiple great threads happening on this very topic, just sad it's taken so long for people to start thinking critically about it.

Kyle Rittenhouse walked up to police carrying an assault weapon during protests in Kenosha, then killed people, and Conservatives called him a hero.@grumpydad @augieray Wouldn't it be something if everyone put that much effort into voting and vetting candidates by doing actual research on them? This structure of government didn't fall into place by happenstance. People are too busy trying to glue each other's eyes to their toks to get involved in anything other then what they've been programmed to see by the fascist element they purportedly detest.

December 31: ICE agent kills 43-year-old Keith Porter, father of two, in Los Angeles.@TCatInReality @randahl I certainly didn't see everyday Americans capitalizing on the carnage by live streaming it to boost their residual incomes that are feeding revenue to the very fascists responsible for perpetuating it.

Because much commentary is now being posted about the killing of a man in Minneapolis today by armed and masked federal agents, and because my previous thread about this today has grown long, I'm starting a separate thread about this now.@Edelruth @wdlindsy though I'm not truly happy, it's good to hear other voices finally realizing the shit show that's been launched against the USA. It's why Trump blocked the bipartisan immigration bill that was going to be passed if it was placed on Biden's desk in 2024. It helped him win the election.

Below, Robert Kagen, says (to Carole Cadwalladr) something that confirms what many of us have been saying:@ChrisMayLA6 I'd love to watch a panel of historians talk through this. Especially, if this one in Wisconsin is invited. Bias seems to have no bounds.

Considering how popular the fediverse already is with at least some of the public institutions in Europe, this is a puzzling move.@jwildeboer @stefan yeah, all I read is, "former ministers and business representatives, primarily from Sweden" hatched their plan at Davos. Definitely something for Europeans to be wary of, a C-Level exec looking to increase their net worth, having cut their teeth at eBay.

Below, Robert Kagen, says (to Carole Cadwalladr) something that confirms what many of us have been saying:@milkman76 @ChrisMayLA6 good thing I listened to my parents, "TV will rot your brain kid." Living in NYC in the 80s, one would know all one needs to know about him. Anyone else? They saw him flying around in his helicopter on Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous, and stepping into the ring of the WWE.
