    Actions speak louder than words.

I am unable to install EU Login app in my phone because I use LineageOS and not the Google Spy Android.

Thus, I cannot use the double factor authentication, mandatory from the 25-02-2026 on unless I tell Google.

A frontal attack to our #privacy.

    Stupid, no?

What?? They said they would fix that a while back, right?

Well that's my identity scrapped for not wanting to use google ๐Ÿ˜„

One can tell, the @EUCommission is really serious about #digitalsovereignty

Is there any public group taking care of #Eu #DigitalSovereignty (for what ever it means ?)

Is it part of #CRA requirements ?

        I have similar concerns regarding #MsMonopoly on #SecureBoot for #x86 #Computers (#PCs and #Servers).

Are anti concurrency practices also a model threat to you ?

Lot of questions, few answers so far, only implementations with mixed feelings..

        Inputs welcome anyway

Maybe I'm misunderstanding you, but I'm currently able to add a passkey as a second factor, under "Manage my Trusted Platforms, Security Keys and Passkeys".

That should allow you to use e.g. KeePassDX on Android.

I do have Teams installed on a Lineage based thing. From Aurora. And recently it says it will not function without Play integration. It lets me log in, but it will not show anything really.

From what I understand, Play issues certain certificates that non-Play markets dont.

@EUCommission This is not how to do digital sovereignity. At all. Every mandated and/or taxpayer funded software must run on de-googled Android (LineageOS, GrapheneOS) or postmarketOS if itโ€™s a mobile app, and Linux if itโ€™s a desktop app. (Thatโ€™s in addition to โ€œregularโ€ Android, iOS, Windows, and macOS.)

@jdelacueva @EUCommission getting to the point where you need a dedicated Google device for things like this and then your daily use mobile device. Keep the spyware device in a drawer at home..

@jdelacueva @EUCommission In my opinion the problem here is that the fact that it requires you Play Integrity is not a mistake, it is something sought with a clear objective. A company that has an economic interest can be imposed with sanctions if you donโ€™t do what you want or even veto it. If you force everyone to need to spend Play Integrity you are forcing them to rely on a phone manufacturer that has to conform to your regulations in order to sell. โฌ

@jdelacueva @EUCommission Considering the trend to impose age verification to access social media with the "Fake News" scum and the control of "hate speech" and the possible age verification imposition to use VPN, it makes sense that you are forced to pass the play integrity in more and more official applications in EU agencies and the countries that make it up. โฌ

@jdelacueva @EUCommission All this coupled with the efforts they are making to impose the Chat Control plus the dijital ID (which will surely be a Wallet that will have to pass Play Integrity) at the European level what I see is a totalitarian drift towards the end of Internet privacy throughout the EU

@Scofisticated with microG u can use teams without issue.. But if u using lineageos then u should use Foss apps like jitsi meets for personal or for work.. Try jitsi meet

@guigsy @Scofisticated OOPS, ๐Ÿ˜”, then no option.. Last option.. Install Google play service app (oldest version) & turn off all internet connection option in app setting. Use ur team app... MS Google apple all joined hands together. All doing shit

@rzr @matv1 @jdelacueva @EUCommission the EU Login Mobile App should not require any Google services and it should be Open Source - the EU should start acting according to its own values and mission statement instead of preaching #digitalsovereignty but practising the contrary.
