I will try out. So far i can still log in with user password (perhaps it depends on the European portal)@jdelacueva @EUCommission i thought you could set up a totp but i see the only way is to install that app

well, we insist in doing apps only for two platforms. There are other OS, really open like Ubuntu Touch that are not under a company.
If we don't start controlling the OS, we will have to follow big tech wishes. -

@jdelacueva Shame on you @EUCommission Europe should be internet-sovereign and stop depending exclusively on foreign US big tech shady corporations.
European citizens that pay taxes in Europe and try to use Europe based alternatives to Apple or Android shouldn't be treated like this. It is a disgrace. Things like this have to change. We need European software running on an European OS, for Europe's sake!

There are a number of two-factor authenticators that should be completely compatible. (My preferred option being Aegis, but there are others.)
